Huaisang smiles when he sees the other and he bows as best he can with his arms full.

"Not this time, I just wanted to come spend time with a friend," Huaisang answers and it's true. He doesn't need anyone putting him up to getting Jiang Cheng drunk or spending time with him.

[zidianing]

He scoffs and lets the other man in, helping him put the wine and snacks on his table.

"I suppose I should know when in our timeline you've been plucked from."

[eternalgrief]

"Thank you," Huaisang says as the other helps him get everything onto the table. His hand slips to pull out his fan subsequently spreading it open.

"The temple," Huaisang says, glancing at Jiang Cheng and he can't be sure when the other is from either and he wouldn't want to say too much.

[zidianing]

It wouldn’t be Huaisang without his fan. As soon as he mentions the temple, Jiang Cheng clenches his jaw.

“Seems as if many of us are from that time,” he replies.

That is very true. He notices the way the other's expression changes, the clench of his jaw and that tells him quite a bit even before he speaks.

"It makes things a bit easier doesn't it," not having to explain what happened or any such thing.

"Some things are easier, some aren't."

Jiang Cheng waves to gesture Huaisang to sit wherever he'd like.

"Wei Wuxian and Hanguang Jun had just left Guanyin Temple."

Huaisang takes a seat and his eyes remain on the other man.

"Are you getting along with them?"

[zidianing]

He sits down as well, sitting up straight and considers his answer.

"As well as we can," he replies. There's a lot that he and Wei Wuxian need to address. That they couldn't simply sweep under the rug. Yet it would be something that should be between the two of them and his sister. "Perhaps it's an opportunity for us to mend the bond that's been granted after so long."
